Congratulations to Dr Xianghui Du, Dr Joyce Wang and colleagues at Zhejiang Cancer Hospital, Hangzhou, who randomised their 1st 4 patients to SUPREMO in September, following activation of the site on 27th Aug 09. Of the 31 international patients randomised to SUPREMO, 14 have been recruited from China, 6 from Australia, 6 from Ireland, 3 from Japan and 2 from Singapore.
The increased rate of recruitment to SUPREMO has been sustained over the summer and 31 patients were randomised to the trial during September. The SUPREMO team would like to congratulate the research teams at the following sites for their valued contributions during September:
- Dr Vivek Misra, Ms Wendy Cook and Ms Joanna Johnson at Royal Oldham Hospital who randomised their 1st patient to the trial in September
- Dr Geraldine Skailes, Ms Clare Tibke and Ms Mary Robinson at Royal Lancaster Infirmary who randomised their 1st patient to the trial in September.
- Dr Goudarz Mazdai and Ms Judith Moore for completing all the necessary approvals to open SUPREMO to recruitment at South Tyneside General Hospital.
- Dr Dayle Hacking, Dr Wojciech Sadiadek, Ms Catriona McDonald, Ms Eimer O'Neill, Ms Vicki Hovenden. Ms Flordeliza Calcasan and Ms Karen Fagen for completing all the necessary approvals to open SUPREMO to recruitment at UMPC Whitfield Cancer Centre, Waterford
- Prof David Joseph, Clin Prof Nigel Spry, Dr Mandy Taylor, Dr Christobel Saunders, Ms Rosalind Stott, Ms Alberta Abreu, Ms Jeannie Hue and Robin Kane for completing all the necessary approvals to open SUPREMO to recruitment at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth.
