News – February 2006

Approval

Multi-centre Research Ethics Committees (MREC) approval was granted on the 24th of January 2006 (05/S0501/106). Since this date forty-eight centres have applied for site-specific assessment and so far fourteen of these have been approved by Local Research Ethical Committees (LREC)/Local Assessor. The trial is due to open spring 2006.

International Collaboration

Applications for funding are currently in progress in Austrailia, New Zealand and for the Swedish Breast Group.
