Cardiac Sub-Study Training Day Materials

Presentations and videos from the 1st cardiac sub-study training day are now available. Further training days are also planned.

SUPREMO Open in Adelaide

The Royal Adelaide Hospital became the 1st centre outside of Europe to open to the SUPREMO trial this April. This will be extended in Q3 of 2008 with the prospective opening of the trial in Singapore and Japan.

Accrual Hits 172 and the First International Randomisation

In mid-April accrual hit 172 patients (25 EORTC, 1 International), and on 12th March 2008 Galway randomised their first patient to SUPREMO, representing the first international patient randomised outwith the EORTC centres.

2nd Annual Investigators Meeting, 20th June 2008, Edinburgh

The 2nd Annual Investigators Meeting for the SUPREMO trial is on Friday 20th June 2008 in the Carlton Hotel, Edinburgh. This will provide an update on progress of the trial within the UK, the EORTC and other international trial groups. It will also feature a guest lecture by Lori Pearce from the University of Michigan entitled "Radiation Planning in the Treatment of Breast Cancer" and a presentation by David Cameron, Director of the NCRN, outlining "The New Framework for Cancer Research in the NHS: Challenges and Opportunities". There is a strong educational component to the meeting and the programme (.pdf) has been submitted for CPD accreditation by the Royal College of Radiologists. 

We will reimburse delegates for travelling expenses to attend the meeting (economy train/air fares) and there is no fee for registration.  Please note that places may be limited therefore early registration (.pdf) is advised.

2nd Cardiac Sub-Study Training Day, 2nd May 2008, Edinburgh

Following on from the success of the 1st training day in March, the second Cardiac Sub-Study Training Day is being held on Friday 2nd May at CRUK, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. This is for anyone who could not attend the first training day, and the programme (.pdf) has been submitted for CPD accreditation by the Royal College of Radiologists.
